In everyday life, the art of memorization can be of great service and find constant application.
Suppose, for example, that you do not remember well the surnames, names and patronymics of friends, addresses, days of family holidays, etc. With the help of a series of inserted words, it will not be difficult to associate some outstanding feature of an acquaintance's appearance with a name, a name - with a birthday or address, etc.
Taking advantage of the opportunities provided to you in your daily life to exercise your memory, we can gradually develop it.
As one of the good EXERCISES, we advise in the evening in bed before sleep to remember briefly how you spent the day; remember how you spent the week every Saturday; every last day of the month - how you spent the month; before the new year - how did you spend the old one. If we add to this the criticism of everything that has been done from the point of view of morality, then this exercise will be very useful for our general mental development. Such an exercise was a must for the followers of Pythagoras.
It is also helpful to repeat in bed before sleep what we need to remember and what we have learned during the day, as well as what we need to do. The reason for this is clear from the role of the Unconscious being liberated in a dream when remembering and memorizing (for details, see the 7th lecture - hypnotic state).
